The squadrons each wore their regimental badges and there was no Royal Yeomanry Regimental Badge as such.

In 1984, the Berkshire element left the Regiment and the Westminster Dragoons regained their old badge, without the ‘T.Y.’ scroll and now in silver-plate. In 1992, the Sherwood Rangers left for The Queen’s Own Yeomanry whilst the North Irish Horse became an independent squadron in Ulster. At the same time, the Leicester & Derbyshire Yeomanry was reactivated and joined the Regiment as its B Squadron and, in the meantime, the Kent & County of London Yeomanry had been restyled the Kent & Sharpshooters Yeomanry. The present structure of The Royal Yeomanry is as follows:
